We have been reading and processing what support raising means to us. While I was praying I had some thoughts that I think God wanted me to realize. The first was that if it was just about the money then He would give us the numbers to the lottery. We would have what we need and be on our way. Since I tend to be more task oriented than people oriented I think God was saying this is about connecting with people and not just a goal to conquer. He reminded me that even if we sell our house and quit our jobs, we are not going anywhere without a committed support group. The point is that we are seeking to develop partnerships with churches and individuals and help them realize they have an important part in this work. We also understand that God has chosen to use us as catalyst for other people’s faith to grow as they take steps to commit finances to us that will require sacrifice. Mike
